LADS. MARCH HAS ARRIVED AND IT'S ABSOLUTELY MENTAL OUT THERE!!!
I'm not exaggerating when I say there's new Rattlin' Bog content dropping EVERY SINGLE DAY. Every morning I wake up and there's something new. Yesterday a DJ in Berlin remixed it — and Jaysus, it's actually gas. It's got a techno beat and I never thought I'd hear the flea verse over a drop but HERE WE ARE.
Then this morning — THIS MORNING — I got word that a 200-person choir in Seoul performed it. SEOUL! A city I've never been to, thousands of miles away, and they're singing about the bugs in a bog in Clare!
The emails are pouring in from everywhere. Japan. Brazil. Mexico. People sending videos of buskers playing it on street corners. Someone posted a version with a didgeridoo. A DIDGERIDOO! I didn't know the song had that kind of range but apparently it does!!!
My head is spinning. The site went dormant for over twenty years and now it's the middle of the month and I'm already getting more traffic than I ever did in the whole of 2002.
And it's only March 1st.
I need a cup of tea. Or ten.
Rattlin' the cat is as bemused as I am. She's been sitting on the keyboard, probably typing better content than I am at this point.
