Lovely site Seamus! My grandchildren love this song. I sang it to them at Christmas and they haven't stopped since. Their mother is less pleased but sure that's the way of it. Keep up the good work!

My grandmother used to sing this song and I'd been trying to remember the name of it for YEARS. Found this site through a Yahoo search and nearly cried. Thank you for preserving this. The lyrics page is a godsend. Slainte from Boston!

G'day from Oz! We learned this song at an Irish pub in Melbourne and now we sing it every time we have friends over. Nobody can keep up after the sixth verse but that's half the fun. Brilliant site mate, cheers!

Seamus, I taught this song to the children's choir at St. Mary's and they sang it at the Christmas concert. Standing ovation. Three encores. Father Mitchell tried to stop them after the second time through but they wouldn't be stopped. God bless the rattlin' bog and God bless this website.
