TikTok. I thought it was something to do with clocks, grand. Turns out it's... what did she call it? "Bite-sized content"? Short videos. VERY short. Like thirty seconds to a minute. People dancing, people cooking, people doing... I don't know what half of them are doing, to be honest.
I was thoroughly confused until Fiona says, "Wait, you're the Bog guy, aren't you?" and she shows me THIS VIDEO.
Some lad — maybe twenty years old, American accent — is singing "The Rattlin' Bog" in his bedroom. All seventeen verses. Fast. The whole thing in like two minutes. And it has FIFTY THOUSAND VIEWS.
I nearly fell off the chair.
The comments are full of people saying things like "how does he remember all the words" and "this song goes SO hard" and I'm sitting there thinking FIFTY THOUSAND PEOPLE WATCHED A LAD SING OUR SONG.
Our SONG, lads.
I don't understand TikTok. I don't understand why anyone needs to watch videos that short. But whatever it is, it's WORKING for the Bog. The song is out there. People are finding it.
I think I might be on the internet properly now. God help me.
