so i work in an open plan office in dublin right. and last friday someone asked what i was humming and i said "the rattlin bog" and they said "what's that" and i said "gather round"

by 11am my whole row knew the first three verses. by lunch the ENTIRE FLOOR was singing. someone brought it to the second floor. the canteen was chaos. pure beautiful chaos.

my boss came over at 3pm and said "can we please stop singing about the bog" and i said "no" and honestly i think HR is going to email me on monday but it was worth it

THIS IS THE MOST BEAUTIFUL THING I HAVE EVER READ. did they learn the flea verse?? please tell me they learned the flea verse. if an entire office floor was doing the flea verse at full speed i would actually cry tears of joy

they ABSOLUTELY learned the flea verse. the lad from accounts nearly had a heart attack trying to get through it without breathing. HR Sandra was filming it on her phone while simultaneously composing the email about workplace disruption. legends every one of them

This is EXACTLY what the song is for. It doesn't care about your quarterly reports or your KPIs or whatever the corporate world is on about these days. It gets in. It spreads. It turns a room of strangers into a choir.
